Nephcare User Application
On-demand home nursing: post a care request, accept a nurse in real time, track them on the map, pay from a wallet.
The patient side of Nephcare, a two-sided marketplace for on-demand home nursing. A patient registers, is located by GPS, sees nearby nurses on the map and posts a care request, either Instant for dispatch now or Scheduled with a start and end time. Nurses apply in real time, and each application arrives as a countdown card the patient accepts or lets expire.
Dispatch is live rather than polled: applications come in over a private Pusher channel with a ringtone and a 45-second expiry bar. Once a nurse is accepted the app subscribes to that job's location document in Firestore and redraws the route between patient and nurse on Google Maps as the nurse moves.
Payment runs through a wallet topped up with Stripe's payment sheet, and the two sides talk in a Firestore-backed chat.
